THE UNIVERSITY OF TOLEDO. At UT, student organizations hold bi-weekly meetings at COspace, the Phabriq Development-designed co-working facility situated on the College of Engineering campus. Out of COspace, The Mill provides intellectual, physical and capital resources, supporting venture development for students, regional entrepreneurs and Main Street businesses. Focused on real-world outcomes for students of all walks, The Mill employs StartupGenius, a collaborative innovation platform which guides entrepreneurs through customized roadmaps including access to a broad network of qualified mentors, competitions and funding sources. COmill also proudly follows Rhode Island School of Design’s lead by incorporating Art & Design into all entrepreneurial activities.
Groups in residence at COspace include the Young Entrepreneurs Society (YES), the Freshman Engineering Entrepreneurship Development club (FEED), and resident incubation clients.
Events at COmill will include regular discussions with entrepreneurs, mentors and industry professionals, Crowdfunding education workshops, and social gatherings designed to raise awareness of the region’s growing startup landscape which features a regular series of entrepreneurial competitions including Pitch & Pour, Start-Up Weekend, COBI Business Innovation Competition and LaunchPad’s Angel Pitch.
